Sail with Chronos and Stephan for a by-the-cabin cruise from Athens to Preveza through the Corinth Gulf.

We will depart from the Zea marina, which is located in the heart of Athens, to sail along the island of Salamis in the direction of the Corinth Canal. Once in the Gulf of Corinth, we will sail along the north coast to visit Galaxidi, the famous city of Delphi, the Mecca of ancient Greece, Lagonisi and many other small fishing villages. The Gulf of Corinth is less frequented by charter boats and we will discover an authentic Greece. We will then arrive in the green and mountainous islands of the Ionian Islands to enjoy the charm and beauty of Kefalonia, Ithaki, Lefkada… Our cruise will end in Preveza, a small town of dynamic fishermen with a lively waterfront and typical taverns.

Sailing conditions

It is already the nice season and the Saronic Gulf, the Gulf of Corinth, and the Ionian Sea are sailing areas protected from the open sea. The sea conditions are therefore not hard. However, it can be windy and it can take time to progress against the wind. But be assured, Chronos is a powerful,  comfortable and seaworthy yacht that sails up well against strong winds.
The water temperature in this season is already pleasant and we will make many swimming stops.

Chronos makes an average of at least 6 knots under sail or motor. The distance of 200 miles can, therefore, be achieved in 34 hours non-stop. Six days of sailing will give us plenty of time to discover and visit the places we will cross.
