Discover one of the best sailing areas and conditions with a yacht charter with skipper in Croatia departing from Zadar. The best way to enjoy all the charms of the Dalmatian coast, a flagship destination for sailing cruises.

Croisière avec skipper dans les îles Kornati

Zadar is an excellent starting point for a sailing cruise in the Kornati archipelago, the densest in the Mediterranean, which includes more than a hundred islands! There is no shortage of anchorages, small fishing villages and modern marinas and it is rare not to be able to find a quiet cove even in high season. Sailing between the islands and along the coast is safe and pleasant, with a protected, shallow sea. The winds are regular in strength and direction. The presence of numerous thermals means that there is always air to move forward and the Mediterranean climate is most pleasant.

During your sailing cruise in Croatia you will have the opportunity to discover the islands of Uglian, Rivanj, Dugi Otok, Telascica National Park, Kornati Archipelago National Park, the islands of Murter, Pasman and many other places of interest.

The Croatians have managed to protect their islands and coastline which resulted in very clear turquoise water and a high level of biodiversity. In the Kornati Park alone, which may seem desert-like, there are more than 700 species of plants.

All this makes the region and especially the Dalmatian coast the ideal sailing area for a skippered cruise in Croatia.

Navigation conditions

Like the rest of Croatia, the winds of the Kornati Islands offer an excellent sailing experience. It is very rare for the winds to be stronger than force 4 at the height of summer.
The Croatian climate is typically the Mediterranean, which means hot, dry summers and mild winters. With 2600 hours of sunshine per year, it is one of the sunniest coasts in Europe. Temperatures of around 30°C in July/August and 23°C in May, June, September, and October can be expected.
